Nihil Obstat
All right, you win. (Which incidentally, this is an example of a Hufflepuff trait: to concede defeat, rather than pushing when they know they're right) Touche.

PhuturePriest
It could be. But honestly, I see Hufflepuff as the milquetoast house. I can imagine you better in Gryffindor hanging with Neville. And obviously Hermione. Apparently I had you pegged for Ravenclaw in the past. That's pretty inaccurate, actually. Here's JK Rowlings thoughts on Hufflepuff house: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Smu0RneksxI I'm not certain, I might not be a Hufflepuff. But the way I thought about it was the House you're sorted into is not determined by if you're brave or not, or if you're smart or not. Hermione is the smartest witch of her age, and she's in Gryffindor, and Luna fell from the top of the weird tree and hit every branch on the way down, but she's a Ravenclaw. The way you're Sorted is not determined by absolutes, but rather by what your defining characteristic is. Hermione is incredibly smart, but her defining characteristic was her bravery. Cedric Diggory was really smart, brave, and ambitious, but he was Sorted into Hufflepuff because his defining characteristics were his fierce loyalty to his friends, his work ethic, and his strict sense of fair play. People tell me I'm really smart, and I've exhibited bravery in the past, but when I think of other defining characteristics, I am a very, very loyal friend. All my friends have to do is ask and I would talk to them on the phone all night 5 nights in a row if they needed me to, and I wouldn't complain about it. I feel like that characteristic of mine is more defining than any intellectual prowess or bravery I possess, but I don't know. I guess I'd have to ask people such as yourself what your opinion is. I always got Ravenclaw and Gryffindor in online quizzes, but that's because I would always manipulate the result with my answers. I don't know concretely in my mind which House I am, I suppose. After taking the Pottermore quiz twice, I got Gryffindor both times, even though I answered differently (giving honest answers) each time. I will say that the last person I will hangout with is Neville, however. :P Unless we're talking BA Neville later in the series, then I'm okay with it. Basilisa Marie
You left out wizard-nazism. Psh, that was only a couple of guys. :) Besides, Death Eaters got their start because no one from the other houses bothered to put a stop to it. They started as idiot teenagers. Because enabling an environment where Slytherins don't make friends outside their house because everyone else fears them is a totally great way to run the place all the wizards in Britain spend their formative years. Good job, Dumbledore. Try your best not to command snakes to attack any mudbloods while you're in here. :| You watch your language. Basilisa Marie
Someone's forcing me to hangout with Neville? You're such a Gryffindor. :) A true Hufflepuff wouldn't mind hanging out with Neville. Gryffindors usually tease and exclude anyone who doesn't fit their idea of cool.
