I found this very helpful in my walk today, not that ceremony and mass and the sacraments aren't good and holy and helpful for salvation, i just like his whole loving god and others is most important.

i think he is wrong about the collections though, but i do understand his having a go at some other protestant and non denom pastors who live in big houses drive fancy cars and wear expensive jewelry. The collection plates in the holy roman catholic church are used to feed, clothe, house and educate the poor, and the priests don't get a large dowry mostly, just enough to get by as far as i'm aware.

 

The disciples used to take collections to do the same thing as far as i can tell from holy scripture, an example is when the women pours the jar of expensive ointment over jesus head just before the passion and the disciples say it could have been sold and given to the poor, and jesus retorts saying you will always have the poor which i think means we will always have jesus through helping the poor and unfortunate souls.
