Yes, it was a slippery slope, and that would be a very useful insight in a philosophical argument. But in one about social problems, in a society in which we have actually seen the slippery slope lived out again and again AND AGAIN over the last century, I hardly think this relevant.

 

A fallacy is an error in thought. We've got abundant historical evidence suggesting it is likely not erroneous to expect that, in the sexuality issue, one thing really will lead to a worse thing. So: no fallacy here.

Exactly. I've also seen people approve the relationship even as a hypothetical, so the slippery slope is completely valid. Especially in a society which is perdominately hedonistic.

Hedonistic and relativistic. I've seen people say things like incest are perfectly acceptable, because who are they to judge?
