Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
perhaps not helpful what i just said and a little cheeky, my apologies noob. Also i am no theologian or apologist, just an ordinary growth hormone free tomato in the garden of the lord. lol Not that spiritual growth hormones that come from the lord are bad. :) Edited September 28, 2014 by Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
BarbTherese
Thank Tab. :) When venturing into a subject with which I am familiar and 'having a go' at what it means precisely, I always hope that what I am stating is in line with The Church and not propounding something that is contrary. If it was contrary, I would change my thinking pronto!
pippo buono
BarbaraTherese, From what I've investigated, that positions you've sited are legitimate. It seems that even among theologians this isn't a clear matter, and many vary on "which comes first." Amidst this conversation, I think I'm beginning to form my perception on the matter much better. I think that this gift of new humanity and sonship in Christ naturally implies a sort of "inhabitation" of Christ. When we put on His new humanity, we put Him on. So the sanctifying grace that is offered implies the gift of Christ Himself. That's my attempt to reconcile the two sides of a debate that seems to continue even until now. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
what about gravy, hard to have grace without the gravy. :P glad you have come to a better understanding pippo buono. God bless you. And barb is correct it can take time for people to answer on here for serious spiritual stuff, research, prayer and thinking is needed for good catholics, i'm a blabber mouth so i don't do that, i think and pray on the go, a grey or black sheep perhaps, or only have bandaids and bandages and the white sheep have stitches and casts, but hoping one day to become a white sheep, like the difference between a nurse and a doctor. Onward christian souls. Jesus is LORD! Edited September 29, 2014 by Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
