crusader1234
Aight so good news, my camera broke. This would be bad, aside from now they are sending me a cheque to buy a new one. The problem is, I have no idea which one to buy. I'm trying to chose between 1) Fujifilm Finepix 3800: 3.2 mp, 11 ft flash, 6x optical zoom, but its big. 2) fujifilm finepix 601 which is 3.1 mp, 15 ft flash, 3x optical zoom, and is medium sized 3) pentax optio s, which has lots of cool features, has 11 ft flash, 3.2 mp, 3x optical zoom, and is tiny. The fuji cameras also work as a webcam but that really isnt as important to me. Also, I think I may just go with a cheaper fuji from the old series for beginners but I dont know. Any thoughts? HomeTeamFamily
can you buy a canon?
qfnol31
4 mp is awesome for larger shots! I have pictures I've printed out that are incredible (8.5x11). But I say go with the first one. I have a larger camera and have had no trouble. (Well, I did drop it, but that would have happened with a smaller one as well).
crusader1234
I dont trust Canon. They didnt score well enough for my liking in Consumer Reports. I could afford one, but nah. I actually liked my old HP 320. It had amazing picture quality (2 mp is all I really need since I only have 8.5 by 11 paper to print on anyways im not sure about you) and I liked it... but taking stuff to bonfires and beaches and on boats and in snow takes its toll on your american products. hahaha

crusader1234
Oh, and when I said the Pentax is small, I mean small. it fits in an altoids tin so it would be better for parties and stuff.
Iacobus
I would probly go with the small one. The only advanage I can see to getting one of the webcam ones is to get a video feed.
crusader1234
Haha, and oh video feed is so amaizng.... watch me listen to music, watch me pray the rosary, watch me forget to pray the rosary, watch me scrat... yeah nevermind. if you go online yuo can get a better idea. the pentax website makes the little one sound so amazing... qfnol31
Personally I would go with a higher magnification.
crusader1234
6x is sort of overkill, but at the same time, that was consumers digests top rated camera
qfnol31
When you have an opportunity like this, you'll say otherwise. OwNeD_byGoD
canons are the best, my bro has a fujifilm, its ehh, my sis has a canon, it rocks, i have a Nikon its dumb! i dun think MPs have much effect on me, i dont necessarily need more MPs to be happier, mine was 4 MP and my sis was 5MP and they were like same quality... meh
