Thank You For Prayers For Mil - Keep 'em Coming!

Hi, everyone,

 

Just a quick check-in.   My mother-in-law "C" was diagnosed with terminal cancer about 2.5 years ago.  She was given weeks.  But she is one VERY stubborn lady and she had NO intention of going any time soon.....

 

But now things are almost done.  Hospice told us on Sunday she wouldn't make it till midnight... but she is STILL with us!!!!

 

But it is almost certain now she will be dying within the week... most likely earlier.  I am staying at her Sister's house, where "C" has been being cared for for the last 2 years.   God reward her for this very generous act of love for her sister... and for all of us.

 

The wondrous and miraculous thing is that we FINALLY got her anoined by a priest on Sunday evening.  Those who have followed this saga know that we have tried and tried and TRIED to get this to happen.  But your prayers have borne -- and continue to bear -- great fruit.  She is reconciled with God and ready for the journey, and the family is finally accepting what is happening.... even Mr. AL.   It is a gift of the Lord and we are grateful.  Thank you so much to all of you who have prayed so hard.....

 

Will connect as I can -- my internet is pretty limited right now.   But God is good.

 

It is a privilege to be able to vigil (watch at her bedside) for her... between Mr Al, me, his sister and aunt, we pretty much have someone with her 24/7.   May we all be so lucky!  And I am praying for her and I know you are as well.... it means a lot.

 

I'm also praying for all YOUR intentions... and if Charlotte gets to heaven, considering her stubborn streak... we will have one powerful intercessor ready to pass on our intentions as well!
