PhuturePriest
So, I went on one of 5 buses with the Wichita Diocese yesterday to go to Oklahoma City so we could pray for the people who were to participate in the Black Mass. We went to Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Oklahoma City (along with 1,500+ other Catholics) and had an hour of Eucharistic adoration followed by a stellar homily by Archbishop Coakley on the Black Mass and why it's so spiritually dangerous, and then we had a Eucharistic procession around the block, wherein we stopped at the footsteps of the church to do a Chaplet of Divine Mercy. We all broke up after that and met with His Eminence Karl Kimme (the bishop of Wichita) at the Civic Center an hour and a half before the Black Mass was to begin, and we said a Rosary, which was very beautiful. That is, until some protestant ministers came, violently screaming Bible verses and informing the Satanists they were going to hell. The Bishop immediately had us leave and regroup a few hundred feet away out of fear of us being associated with such well-intentioned doofuses (that's the nicest word I could think of for them). Afterwards, we were given exorcised water to bless ourselves with and had dinner with the Bishop, where I got to speak with him for a while, and he gave us all a general blessing. All in all, a very successful pilgrimage of praying for the Satanists. I even got to be on the news: http://ksn.com/2014/09/21/catholics-stand-together-to-protest-black-mass-in-oklahoma-city/ I have to give the camera guy props for choosing an awkward clip of me, which gave me a good laugh. The crucifix at the very end is actually mine, and I wear it every day, so it's awesome the camera guy had a shot of it.

PhuturePriest
Nice! I'm glad it was a success. Plus, I like your crucifix. I posted a picture of it eons ago in a thread about crucifixes we wear. I've been wearing it every day for the past three years. I'm honestly astounded the body of Christ has never once fallen off, as that was something I always struggled with with my other ones. I'm complimented on it quite a bit, which I love, because then I say crazy stuff like "Thanks! I wear it proudly as a Catholic." and then the other people get uncomfortable and say something like "Ah." and walk away. :P

PhuturePriest
We had a holy hour at our parish yesterday for all those participating in it. The Wichita Diocese has pretty much every parish hold a Eucharistic Holy Hour at seven, which is when the Black Mass was scheduled to start. Thousands of Catholics all over the diocese participated in it.
PhuturePriest
This was the very beautiful protest the Society of Saint Pius X put on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo9q-dt7Bo8&feature=youtu.be
veritasluxmea
Could you actually, like, hear it? Did you see any people who participated? I wonder if it would be possible to make black masses illegal in the USA, or if it technically is a protected right? Unfortunately it's not over yet... This one got a lot of publicity but black masses happen every day in the united states, and across the world, and often with real hosts and animal sacrifices, especially around the full moon and Friday 13th. Keep praying.

Keep praying. It was ruled by the 1st Amendment they have just as much a right to have their Black Masses as we have to our Masses. Until the law changes, they can do nothing. The Black Mass was inside the Civic Center, so no. Also, we weren't there during the Black Mass. We left an hour and a half before it started due to the screaming protestant guy. Gabriela
What happens at a Black Mass? I've heard of them, but have no idea what they entail? Whatever it is, it should be considered "hate speech".

Whatever it is, it should be considered "hate speech". The guy who put it on explains in the video. They start off by desecrating the Eucharist (stomping on it, spitting on it, usually performing sexual acts on it), and then re-consecrating it to Satan. They then do various other things, ranging from a "reverse exorcism" (casting the Holy Spirit out of a person and filling them with Satan), and usually top it off with an orgy.
