I May Have To Become A Fan Of The Packers

What is coming out about Vikings Adrian Peterson is making me sick to my stomach

CBS Houston obtained a draft of the police report where Peterson admitted that he did “whoop” one of his children last May while the boy was visiting him in Houston. The boy's mother took him to a doctor when he returned to Minnesota.

According to the police report, Peterson hit the four-year-old boy with a tree branch after removing all the leaves. The doctor told investigators that the boy had "a number of lacerations on his thighs, along with bruise-like marks on his lower back and buttocks and cuts on his hand."

The doctor also reportedly described some of the marks as open wounds and termed it “child abuse.” Another person who examined the boy called the cuts “extensive.”

The boy was interviewed by authorities, who reportedly told them "Daddy Peterson hit me on my face." He also told them he had been hit by a belt and that “there are a lot of belts in Daddy’s closet.”

The punishment happened after the boy pushed another one of Peterson’s children off of a motorbike video game, according to the police report.

You think the Packers are your ally, but you have only just become a fan.  I was born in it.  Molded by it.  I didn't see the Vikings until I was a man.  Until them, all the Packers did was BLIND THEM!

Well, at least my folks are Packers fans.

Well, getting swatted with a belt, tree limb, etc. is called getting "switched."  It is not an unheard of practice among people who bother to discipline their children. But if two doctors said the kid was marked up, thats bad. If the kid says he got smacked in the face, thats bad. Some parents I know who used to switch went to pinching instead - no risk of "over doing it" and delivers discomfort more privately than a spanking.

Parts of the report seems weird. "There are a lot of belts in Daddy's closet." Well, yes. Men wear belts and they are traditionally kept in a closet.

I don't care what happens, I'm not joining the dark side of the Force and becoming a Packers fan.

Oh the Packers who employed the sexual assault tandem Mark Chmura and Brett Favre?

And this was not "old timey corporal punishment grab your own switch". This was a 220lbs. Man beating the crap out of a 4 year old.

Not to mention Peterson last year had one of his children beaten to death by the mothers boyfriend.

I hear Brett Favre is a very unpleasant person to meet in real life. Stuff like yelling at his fans for bothering him and things of that ilk.

Actually, he's okay.  My sister's boyfriend's family knows him personally (yeah, I know, cousin's aunt's friend's grandchild and all that).  Fans can get invasive, and it's got to be challenging being pleasant 100% of the time you meet people in public for your whole life.

I'm sure it is very challenging. I'm not even sure why people would flock around a person just because he can accurately chuck a ball 80 yards in the first place, but sports are a very powerful thing, I suppose.

You know what's invasive? Getting unsolicited pictures of the franchise players genitals.

Google brett favre jenn sterger if you weren't already aware.
