Degrees Of Glory In Heaven

I know there are different degrees of Glory in Heaven, but I don't understand how we can achieve a higher or lesser degree. Is it dependent on how much time we spend on prayer and helping others etc. or our humbleness and love? I guess maybe both, but what about people who don't have the time or ways of helping others and praying? Will there love and humbleness be enough to get a high degree of glory or the persons who do both always get a higher degree?

Your capacity to love at the end of your earthly life reflects the degree to which you will love and be loved by God in heaven. Prayer and charity as the best ways increase your capacity to love.
