PhuturePriest
I am so glad that I celebrate Thanksgiving every time I go to Mass. I love to Feast on the Lord. (For those of you not in the know, Eucharist = Thanksgiving) Indeed. A true Thanksgiving, the likes of which can never be topped. But it just so happens to be preceded by a Fast. Bazinga. PhuturePriest
Well at least you know what you're talking about. I see nothing in the link provided that says I'm wrong. In fact, it proves I'm right. North America and Africa are the most prominent drinkers of coffee. Neither of them are models of peace and tranquility. One hour of fasting before an entire day dedicated to eating and trying not to discuss politics and religion with long distance family members. How penitential. :|

Vincent Vega
I see nothing in the link provided that says I'm wrong. I'll help. It is no wonder why we are one of the few civilized nations where coffee takes precedence over tea. "Civilized nations" (which presumably means western(ized) countries?) in which coffee is more widely consumed than tea, per my link: Portugal Spain France Switzerland Austria Germany Italy Belgium The Netherlands Poland Norway Sweden Finland Denmark Brazil Canada South Korea USA Edited September 7, 2014 by Vincent Vega
PhuturePriest
You presume to know an awful lot about how other people spend their Thanksgiving day. You presume that many Catholics spend a Thursday at daily Mass. I know dioceses which don't even provide daily Masses in 90% of their parishes, and I know one diocese which doesn't have any at all, despite a respectable Catholic population. When I go to a Thanksgiving day Mass it's always pretty darn full. I've been to such Masses in several states.

Nihil Obstat
The weird passive-aggression and tension in this thread is kind of embarrassing. :| What if some tea-drinking limeys stumble upon it?
