PhuturePriest
Wow... Gross. I'm ok. Swamped as ever during the semester. I work till I get fried... then I phatmass. :like2: (EDIT: You should post another video of yourself singing so we can all re-associate your adorable face with your new name.) How about a picture instead?
Gabriela
How about a picture instead? Let's have it. (Although maybe we should open a different thread for it in Open Mic, so we don't derail this one—again.)

I'm going to need a day or two in preparation. I need to buy a comb as well, as I lost mine two weeks ago.

CatherineM
Been thinking about this. Wouldn't we prevent more sin by developing a pill that made us unable to commit adultery? Supposedly gays are only 10% of the population.

franciscanheart
If being gay is going to be compared to some other socially unacceptable thing, I'm glad it's alcoholism and not child molestation and/or animal sex. Cheers!
Fidei Defensor
We must remember that having same sex attraction is not a sin in and of itself, and like many other things, is a personal cross to bear. God gives us our crosses and I wouldn't want to take the easy way out.
Credo in Deum
We must remember that having same sex attraction is not a sin in and of itself, and like many other things, is a personal cross to bear. God gives us our crosses and I wouldn't want to take the easy way out. Not to mention God allows us our certain crosses because they will make us perfect. Wanting off these crosses is a way of asking for new ones which we cannot carry.
franciscanheart
Here's a better hypo: You are gay. People on a supposedly Catholic message board are surprisingly homophobic. Do you engage? If a pharma company made a pill that would make them instantly less stupid, would you force it down their throats? Assuming that would be against your moral code, would you instead petition for a pill that would make you straight and, therefore, them more comfortable? franciscanheart
Could you elaborate?I'd better not. It was tongue-in-cheek and I've had a beer. It was 8ish hours ago now but you never know how long that stuff stays in your system.
Lilllabettt
a homosexual orientation should not be compared to a moral disease ... its really more of a disability. A disability that makes reproduction difficult if not impossible. Like, I don't know, a severe spinal injury. Or me, with my various amputations. There's a richness that disabled people add to our world as disabled people. There's value that a person in a wheel chair adds to the world because of the fact that they are in a wheel chair. At the same time I think if there was a way to make that person walk again we wouldn't hesitate to make that available.
