puellapaschalis
I came across this article on facebook and it struck a chord with me because I remember well learning about the Carthusians who were martyred in London at the time of the Protestant Rebellion. That I had no idea that this had happened in WW2 Italy doesn't surprise me, but I would very much like to get this book (and somehow get my Italian to a point where I could actually read it!). http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/news/2014/09/05/nazi-massacre-of-carthusian-monks-recalled-in-new-book/
Gabriela
Yeah, Carthusians have been exiled and martyred all over the place. They got kicked out of the Grande Chartreuse many times. Beautiful picture. :) Have you read "An Infinity of Little Hours"? Or seen "Into Great Silence"? The charterhouse in Vermont publishes a ton of little pamphlets and other information on the Carthusians. They might have the book, as well as others you'd probably be interested in.
