Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
Pax domini. I believe in the magesterium/teaching authority of the holy roman catholic church and the primacy of the pope, i believe that they are divinely inspired as is holy scripture. Do i have to believe these as being infalible? Because as far as i can discern there is a difference between divinely inspired and infalible/absolute. Onward christian souls. Jesus iz LORD! Theoketos
The man is not infallible. Under certain conditions the office of Peter can make infallible pronouncements. This has happened twice: the Assumption and Immaculate Conception. These conditions are; the the Pope is speaking as pope and not a private theologian or earthly prince, he is speaking to the universal church, he is speaking on a matter of faith and morals, and declares he is doing so. There is usually an anathema attached to statement too.
