His sister, Marian, continues to slide down. She is the one who was using so many drugs that she was causing herself to have seizures and stop breathing. She's also been talking to hallucinations. Yesterday she was so freaked out that she started biting people on the street and bit a policeman that came to pick her up. There are strong addiction issues on their Dad's side and schizophrenia. Bipolar and major depression on their Mom's side. We were hoping the hospital would finally keep her for evaluation, but once she'd come down off whatever she was using, they just released her.

Their Mom's old house is being sold which will leave her homeless. The plan was for her to live with her grandmother in Toronto. She has a son with schizophrenia and knows the process of getting someone help, plus it gets her away from her drug dealing brothers. I hope she lives long enough to get there. She's afraid if she goes now to Toronto that the family will cut her out of her share from the house. It will probably be around $10,000, and they are all planning on how many drugs they can buy with it. Zach has set up a RDSP for his share. That's an IRA for disabled people that the government matches deposits, so his will be worth twice as much, and protected from his brothers who are already asking him for his share.

She's about as lost as a soul can be and needs all the prayers she can get.
