so I wrote a children's book about adoption. I'm shamelessly plugging it where ever I go. I wrote the story after my friends went through some very trying times while adopting their first child.  Very well intended people would say things like "I had friends who adopted, then after they were able to have a child of their own!"  I was inspired to try to find a way to reframe the adoption experience in a more positive light.
