cappie
Last Sunday, six men were received as Capuchin postulants during an afternoon Eucharist at St. Martin de Porres Church in Milwaukee. Four are postulants for the Midwest USA Province: Clint Evrard, Krzys Rog, Matthew Tiritilli, and Hahm Gahng. Akram Esho and Vince Thomas are postulants for the Central Canadian Province headquartered in Toronto. The six men originally come from South Korea, India, Iraq, Poland and the United States, continuing a tradition of diversity within our postulancy classes. The postulants split their time between classes most mornings and volunteer ministry most afternoons. They fill in their time with regular Capuchin community responsibilities like prayer, cooking, meals, cleaning, and recreation. The same event saw 6 of our temporary professed brothers from the Midwest Capuchin renew their vows: Fred Cabras, Jerry Cornish Jason Graves, Quan Nguyen, Jason Salisbury, and Robert Wotypka. After novitiate, men in initial formation renew their vows annually for a total of 4-6 years. These six have been joined by last year's novices who professed for the first time last July: Truong Dinh, Joshua Minden, Joseph Taylor, and Fernando Iñiguez. Congratulations to all!
