Black "mass" Cancelled?

Ash Wednesday

It's good they were able to get the host back, the Archbishop's legal response was very well done.

They may still hold some kind of stupid ritual, albeit no consecrated host. I wouldn't complain if Catholics got them kicked out of there completely.

I'm glad that they didn't go through with the desecration, but:

"Oklahoma City had better think twice about this. The Civic Center is funded by the taxpayers, many of whom are Catholic, and they are not obliged to pay for attacks on their religion."

Uh, I don't think that's how that works, Bill.

The Host has been returned to the Church, yes this is a victory, however the ritual itself will still be taken place down in the Oklahoma City Civics Center. "Just without the sacred host" Our Archbishop Paul Coakley and Tulsa Bishop Edward have been asking for continuous prayers and penance to bring this to a end.

Every mass starting from August 6th- September 29th (Feast of the Arch-Angels) we have been encouraged to pray the prayer to Saint Michael, some are doing novenas to Queenship of Mary, while others have been asking to do deeds of charity,  and praying the Rosary. All these have been going around in the OKC metro area. I visit a lot of Catholic Parishes in the metro and see the multiple reactions of the requests by the bishop and archbishop.

But the management to the Civics Center is still claiming that they are going to allow the service/ritual to take place as long as public guidelines are met according to Oklahoma State Law. This is still dangerous and dark territory even if it isn't a black mass anymore because it opens people up to the gates of hell and unknown possibilities.

Adam Daniels the group leader for the Satanists is a registered sex offender, and probably wouldn't mind lying to the State Government and the Church about his true hidden and unknown intentions.

Worst case scenario they could have replaced the host sent it back, or worse yet they could have sent the real one back and still have more than one host.

However trying to look at the positive side of things the power of God through prayer and the intercession of Saint Michael has really been showing its power.

God Bless You All

So, as was my point with the Boston debacle, what is Omaha actually, really doing to prevent abuse of the Eucharist?  Are they preaching about transubstantiation?  Are churches asking people to stay after Communion?  Are there additional EM's that are more careful?  Alter servers with pattens?  Thinner, more easily dissolved hosts? More time walking from the alter to the pews?

I don't want to turn this into tounge-vs-hand debate as someone wanting to deceive could easily "hack" both methods.  This is more about the diocese putting their "money where their mouth is" and actually caring for the Eucharist as a precaution, not as a reactive event.

So far, I see none of that.

Didn't know that, thanks for the heads up!

Psalm 110

1The LORD’s revelation to my LORD:

 â€œSit at my right hand,

until I make your foes your footstool.”

2The LORD will send from Sion

 your scepter of power:

rule in the midst of your foes.

3With you is princely rule

on the day of your power.

In holy splendor, from the womb before the dawn,

 I have begotten you.

4The LORD has sworn an oath he will not change:

 â€œYou are a priest forever,

 in the line of Melchizedek.”

5The LORD, standing at your right,

shatters kings in the day of his wrath.

6He brings a judgment among the nations,

 and heaps the bodies high;

he shatters heads throughout the wide earth.

7He shall drink from the stream by the wayside,

and therefore he shall lift up his head.

I totally agree this needs to be a "teaching" moment. I hope we will see something more proactive in the Tulsa diocese. And again, we must never forget that there are always sacrilegious rituals taking place privately throughout the world on any given day...so continued prayer & reparation is always a good thing....
