In Thanksgiving

[Golden Years]

Today I was clothed as a Benedictine Oblate novice at Clear Creek Abbey.  I have wanted to be associated with a religious order for approximately 42 years, and so often this road has seemed to lead to nowhere.  And so this is a tremendous event in my life.  I am extremely thankful for all the support I have experienced here and elsewhere, and most of all that God has guided me to the Abbey and enabled me to take this step and accepted my offering, small as it is.  Deo gratias!
