MIKolbe
Shea listens to P&W, and when she drives, so I listen by default at those times... Some of it is overly 'sappy', to which Shea says that I just don't like it because it's not catholic. (which I suppose would be for a thread for elsewhere) That said, and having listened to a lot of different 'types' of P&W, I must say some of it I do like. It helps me to be joyful about my relationship with Christ (which is something I lack many times). It helps (as FH said) to check my disposition. I could be having a crap day at work, or I could be pissed that the lawnmower broke and I tried to fix it but made it worse, and some P&W music can help but things into perspective. This is not to say that only P&W music does this, only that I have seen its more positive effects in the above regard.
reminiscere
I find Polish praise and worship to be very beautiful... especially from Mocni w Duchu, Vox Eremi, Deus Meus, etc. Secondly, a fellow PM'er sent me this, one of my favourites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqO_dCfzBE4 Edited August 19, 2014 by reminiscere
CatherineM
Beats listening to the guy crying about his dead cow, or a pimp talking about beating his hos.

Amppax
I tend not to like CCM. There are exceptions: Gungor, Jon Foreman from Switchfoot's acoustic stuff (and Switchfoot), and a couple other groups. And I love Gospel, Blues, Bluegrass, Folk, etc; these are often about religious things. However, I want to like something as music before I will listen to it. Which rules out most CCM. dUSt
P&W music repulses me. It makes me want to hate people. It just does, don't judge me. I avoid it at all costs.

MissyP89
I like some. Chris Tomlin and his people are way too sappy-sweet for me, but I do like a fair bit of the rock stuff. Do you like Audrey Assad, Franny? I'm in love with her. Not even joking. I really like this Aussie brother duo, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXGuWHb5INk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pIqE-Mxx1g
porziuncola
Audrey Assad is fabulous. I love the newsboys, a lot of jars of clay, and switchfoot is fantastic. And lifehouse. But they all tend to be a bit less on the praise and worshippy side, and really just good music. Oh, and did I mention Audrey Assad is fabulous? Anastasia13
http://ctkblog.com/2013/12/05/why-switchfoot-wont-sing-christian-songs/ Switchfoot on why they no longer sing Christian music. This touches on why I stopped listening to mostly Christian music, in addition to more varied taste in styles and music.
