I think only dUst can change screen names. But at least it's now correct.

I very much like Gilderoy Lockhart as a nod to your new name.  It seems fitting.

I think Gilderoy Lockhart as a representative for me in general is quite fitting. Not only am I reigning champion of all that is smarmy on Phatmass, but at least 80% of what I say is absolute BS.

Play hard or go home. If you can't take the sun, live in your basement.

Dont cut yourself too short. Gilderoy was quite attractive and all the ladies loved him.

Nihil Obstat

I like Lockhart for one main reason. He was an absolute, utter, despicable fraud, but he was only able to maintain that fraud because he was actually highly skilled in his own right at a totally different thing than what he was famous for, i.e. memory charms. Nobody really knew that he was essentially a memory charm savant because it did not fit the persona he had created. But if I remember correctly, it was implied that he was possibly the very best wizard in the world at that spell. Really interesting concept, IMO.

Yep, he probably was, and instead of using his prodigious talents to help people he exploited them for personal gain, which is ultimately what got him in the end.

Interestingly enough, I just finished reading The Chamber of Secrets again last night. It is indeed said that he is absolutely amazing at memory charms. So good, in fact, that when the spell backfired due to Ron's crappy wand, he completely obliterated all of his memory, and it was so effective that they couldn't cure him at Saint Mungo's.

Didnt you already finish all the books FP?

I've read them all at least 4 times. I think I read The Order of the Phoenix five or six times, since it's my favorite one. My next favorite one is of course The Goblet of Fire, so I've read that one 5 times or more.
