Brother Adam

This heat is killing me. 74 degrees. That was our low. 74 degrees. Agh! And it is SOOO muggy. Yesterday. Heck I won't talk about yesterday.

Okay, yes I will.

Where I was working it was 94 in the shade. And I was working in the sun. I only made it 7 hours, and that did something to me cause I about lost it when I got home. My head was throbbing and I about threw up. I don't even think I'm going to work half a day today. Ick. This is horrible weather.

Dude, I love it!!! Hot weather rocks my socks. Of course, I don't have to work outside, though, so I feel for ya. :(

HSDad had to work construction during the summer of '88 which was the worst drought of the 80s. He lost about 20 lbs. I'm sure he can empathize...

Archaeology cat

I'm an archaeologist, so I know what it's like to work outside in 110 degree heat with little shade, when everyone gets a bit delirious, and then you just about pass out when you get home. So I feel for you, Brother Adam.

My father was an AC contractor and his response to the heat was to work very early in the morning, sleep through the day, and then come back when it cools off in the evening.

God bless...

When I was in college, during the summer, I got a job putting together steal towers for power lines. We got a job in the Nevada desert outside of Bolder. It was around 108 and the metal would be out in the sun all day and I would have to climb on and straddle the metal beams. To say the least I thought that I was going to do some damage to the family jewels. But seven years latter I have two daughters so I guess every things working ok. I got one word for you, Gatorade. ^_^

I like 'warm' weather. Thats about 27 degrees celcius. At night, anything more than 25 and it makes falling asleep take even longer than usual which is alreadly too long. I actually prefer freezing cold weather (-40 degrees celcius, which by coincidence is the same as -40 fahrenheit) becuase you can just put on a coat.
