I have been thinking about it and praying, and I could not put anyone's name in. I have had big disagreements with some people in the past, and I think some of that hurt feeling still lingers. For any and all of my responsibility in that, I sincerely apologize. Red and ICP, if you do happen to read this, I mean you especially. But anyone else who feels this applies to them as well, and do feel free to contact me. Please forgive me for failing at times in the past to live up to our Faith.

But in terms of people by whom I feel I have been hurt in the past, I do not think I could ask for any of them to be banned. Anyone I have had conflict with... no, that is not a reason for me to want them gone.

I did ask for Gnostic Christian Bishop to be banned. That was out of concern for questioning Catholics who might be led astray by his 'arguments'.

just so you know…no matter our major disagreements, I would never submit your name (or anyone's) to be banned. People can sink or swim on their own merits or failures (myself included here) and that can determine if they stay or go, in my opinion.

Phatmass needs to be a positive place that glorifies the Church. Members who do not contribute to this, I want gone.

Honestly, I doubt that is what dUSt is saying. He's always said that Catholics are held to (or should be) a higher standard than non-Catholics, atheists, agnostics, what-have-you.

I just want all of you to know I will be submitting all of your names. I have prayed, sought spiritual direction, took a nap. and had a drink over this decision and have come to the conclusion that it's the right thing to do.

I could see that coming. He was very aggressive toward the faith. I felt like he was not interested in understanding a Catholic answer or in apologetics as much as he was in evangelizing us to his own faith in an (anti-)Bible thumper manner.
