A dreadful story in the news today in Sydney, Australia - a 2yo boy bashed to death by his stepfather. 

 

For the repose of his soul

For the rest of his family in their grief

For the conversion of his stepfather

 

 

I also saw a tweet last night about a 14yo girl who, under Sharia law, was sentenced to 100 lashes because she was the victim of a rape. She died after about 70 blows. 

 

For the repose of her soul

For all girls in similar difficulties throughout the world

For the hardened, misguided hearts of those men who perpetrate these vicious crimes as a result of their extremism

For the conversion of the rapist

 

And for all those throughout the world who are victims of this sort of senseless violence.
