Boy With Behavioral Problems

My mom has a friend who is a single woman in another city that fostered and then adopted a boy. He was 15 months old at the time that she got him. Over the years, he's had behavioral problems. I know that he was abused by his family of origin, takes medication, and sees a counselor, but he is still hard to handle. He's 14 now.

 

My mom and her friend will be going on a trip together and they're taking my 12 year old brother and the other woman's 14 year old boy. My mom is uneasy about the trip because her friend's son went on vacation not long ago with other family members and acted up. He even ran away. Fortunately, he was found unharmed.

 

He's notorious for how nasty he talks to his mom. She doesn't know what to do with him.
