St Mary Magdalene's Vocation?

Does anyone know? :)

 

I read a book about her from the revelations of the Life of Jesus Christ to Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich... it said that Our Lord told her to go into the desert and live there after His Ascension, and for Martha to start a community of women. Apparently I seem to remember that St Mary Magdalene lived in a cave. I started thinking, what would be her vocation? she's a penitent... so is this like a hermitess?

 

and is there more information about how she lived after the Ascension of Our Lord?

It sounds very similar to the hermits - if not the same thing.  Here is an interesting blogpost about her.  I don't know how much is true and how much is legend, but I found it fascinating:
