The Bible Code

So another sleepless morning for me today, waking up around 330 am flipping through the channels came across TBN some show referencing the Bible Code and supposedly some well respected Jewish scientists and peers that came across the entire thing, and the show ended that it was not intended to predicted any of the faithful specific future but to vindicate the Word of God an yada yada yada.....

 

What got me about the show is it seemed some what scientific that someone actually came up with a computer software program which one can now purchase ( something titled like biblecode software  I dunno do your own google search im sure it will pop up with something close )  and supposedly since the old testament has so much in it and the new testament , with the soft ware you can put in some kind of information, tell the software to skip like every so many words , some kinda code system called ELS ( I think ) and then ipsofacto bobs your uncle information pops up.

 

I missed the first half the episode cause I was more interested in who actually was sitting around going ya know what, I wonder if there is a code in the bible any where that God slipped in for us to find later.

The program did feature one skeptic who said the same software could be used on the book War and Peace and similar results would pop up, an that was that for skeptics.

 

Is there any truth to a " bible code " or is it all just a myth.

I saw a documentary on that. I think you could find codes in lots of stuff. I hid something in my first book. I did all the odd page numbers in one font, and the evens in another. I was very disappointed no one noticed.
