I have not studied the Catholic Charismatic renewal. I have however, "suffered" the movement, that is in the Douay-Rhemis sense. To clarify my stance, i'd like to say that while I don't necessary disagree with the renewal ( I infact embrace it), I disagree considerably with the application of is tenets in a liturgical and ministerial sense. I'd alos like to stress that in my earlier post, I wasn't implying that a uniformity be enforced in this specific area, but that our Catholic Church is True and that our expressions of that Faith should follow.
