Charismatic Catholic

I am a very charismatic Catholic, and one of the things that makes me so is that I practice some of teh gifts of teh Holy Spirit. When I worship I love to jump around and raise my hands in the air. Some of the gifts that charismatics often recieve and practice are tongues and prophesy and such. Modern day apostles I guess you may call them. And, I've never known a closet charismatic Christian.

Am not. But I have been to services. They really just use more morden Christian music (guatirs, drums, etc) and do that arm wave thing. The mass and all is the same.

Thanks for your reply! The reason I ask is because I know someone at my parish who is charismatic catholic...and I have beent thinking about joining the charismatic prayer group...and going to a convention (whenever they have them) I just wanted to get a little more insight into what Charismatic Catholicism really is....I know that Rachael Lampa (the awsome singer!!) is Charismatic Catholic also!

Alot of people ask if charismatic catholics believe the same thing "regular" catholics do...but of course they do...Mary, The Pope, Purgator....being catholic is being catholic after all...if your charismatic or not! lol

Thanks again and God Bless

Yes they belive the same things. The Mass is 100% the same. The only things are they sing different songs, etc. It is the same difference as going to a Latin Mass. Same faith, same everything, but different songs. And mood.

It really, in my mind, boils down to what helps you connet best.

P3chrmd,

Just so popestpiusx doesn't...scare you away from the Charismatic Movement...

I have some quotes from the US Bishops, Cardinal Ratzinger, and the Holy Father in support of the Charismatic Renewal.

If you want, I can find them for you.

Now polar bear, would I really do something like that??? And also, is this a topic of legitimate debate or not? If someone can answer that question for me I would appreciate it. I promise I'll behave.

Not it open mic. There are lots of threads out there in the Debate Table on the Charismatic movement if you want to dredge them up.

Do you really want me to answer that? ;)

I just didn't want P3chrmd to mistake your judgment on the matter for that of the Church.

Are you implying that my judgement is not the judgement of the Church? Polar Bear, I must say, I am offended. :D I demand satisfaction. I hereby challenge you to a duel
