Socrates
Maybe if you spent less time speaking with an unpleasant disposition about other people's work and more time writing, you could accomplish the goal for yourself. Or better yet, turn off the telly, and read some classic literature. Edited July 10, 2014 by Socrates
southern california guy
I tend to believe that too many feminists reify macho-masculinity as the ideal type and then criticize females (and female portrayals) that do not live up to that ideal type. My point is to criticize that macho-masculinity as a patriarchal aberration and with then Joseph Ratzinger say: "It is appropriate however to recall that the feminine values mentioned here are above all human values: the human condition of man and woman created in the image of God is one and indivisible. It is only because women are more immediately attuned to these values that they are the reminder and the privileged sign of such values. But, in the final analysis, every human being, man or woman, is destined to be “for the otherâ€. In this perspective, that which is called “femininity†is more than simply an attribute of the female sex. The word designates indeed the fundamental human capacity to live for the other and because of the other" —Letter to the Bishops of the Catholic Church on the Collaboration of Men and Women in the Church and in the World Why can't women be more masculine -- like men? They should cast women who have bigger muscles then men. Masculinity is obviously the ideal. Now nobody could accuse this woman as being "heteronormative"!!! And, just to balance things out, this could be the leading man. Edited July 10, 2014 by southern california guy
Gabriela
Oh My Gosh! There's insufficient radical feminism in Hollywood movies! No doubt Big Oil's behind this. I think Congress needs to pass some bills to fix this terrible crisis immediately! (And if Congress won't act, then, by golly, Obama should!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fY7g6a1A4KM Edited July 10, 2014 by curiousing

Semper Catholic
Why is it always the same people always taking a dump on threads that require some critical thought? I feel like someone should probably do something about that.

Classic literature is actually my favorite genre. So **** you. :) Obviously. You write with truly Shakespearean eloquence.
CrossCuT
If I choose not to giggle at your ironic little responses it doesnt mean I dont get then it just means theyre bad. And ive really only taken like two lit classes cause im so baller I dont need school to give me a reason to read. Shakespeare writes about people like you...but I wouldnt get excited... They usually get killed cause no one likes them.
