I have been to Grand Canyon, and I have been to Moab. BUT I have never traveled along the road between them. So, it makes sense to look at what the local travel websites have to say... here's a good overview. We won't be visiting all these places, but Northern Arizona and Southern Utah is beautiful.... http://www.visitsouthernutah.com/Things-to-See Tigger60 said to me, when she looked at the map (above) --- it looks like we will be going through a LOT of mountains this week! Yup. And I'd enjoy them... because in just a few weeks you will wish you could see a mountain... you'll see!!!!! But let's get started... First stop.... Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, AZ I had never heard of the Vermilion Cliffs until I started researching this entry. Wow. http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/travel/365-photos/vermilion-cliffs-national-monument-arizona/ Here is an article with some more information... wow. And this is wonderful place to look at the stars, too.... this is one of the best places in the USA to look at the night sky.....
