BarbTherese
How do props work. I keep running out. Do I count 24 hours from when the sign pops up that I have run out of props for the day........or what does "day" mean in Phatmass terms - does "the day" start at a certain time and finish at a certain time? (Most of my props run out I think because of staying in touch with the Prayer Forum, reading each post and including the intentions in daily prayer.......and giving a prop to that post which lets the poster know members have read the post and are praying - and a really important matter in my book. In times of difficulty and crisis it can be a real consolation to know that others really care and are praying. Oh well, in the final analysis, The Lord hears our prayers I know - even if props have run out and for how long is mysterious.......at least to me). maximillion
Was about to prop your post and - yup, out of props. I never seem to have enough and once I have run out I seem to keep on running out. Prayer room is the case in point. I would like peeps to know I am praying and if props are gone.......as you say, the prayer is what counts but all the same. I say we start a campaign for more props. arfink
On a more serious note, for the people looking to use up their props in the prayer room: I believe the default prop limit per day is still greater than the average number of new prayer posts each day. :P
AnneLine
I am not positive, but I think that there is some kind of 'average' number of props (12? 15?), but that the reset of them is a 'rolling' thing. Now what that means is that if you have 12 props to use in a 24 hour period and you punch 5 or 6 prayer requests and then a bunch of other posts one after the other... you could find yourself suddenly prop-less.... ... but you might have 'em back in just a few hours when you hit the 24 hour limit on one or a few you propped the day before. I hope that makes some kind of sense? (And I am not 100% sure....)

Does anyone else feel weird giving props in the Prayer Forum when it's sad news? I know people here understand you're not giving props to the sad news itself, but regardless it still feels weird. I have been in other forums where we reply to a pray request with a prayer smiley, so I just think of it as that is what props turn into in the prayer subforum. KnightofChrist
PS. Does anyone else feel weird giving props in the Prayer Forum when it's sad news? I know people here understand you're not giving props to the sad news itself, but regardless it still feels weird. I've done this, but not always, if everyone else is like me I believe it is a way for people to offer support. A quite way to say I am praying with you, without saying it, since it is not possible to reply otherwise in the prayer room.
AnneLine
Yeah. I have often wished (while not making any negative comment at all about the glorious stuff we do get here for FREE) that what was in the prayer room was a simple check-off box that just said 'praying'. Because a lot of us DO use a lot or most of our props in there to send that message.....
BarbTherese
I can't make the rules, so what I have decided to do in future is prop in the Prayer Forum and if I come across a post I would like to prop in other forums, put in a post drawing attention to the post in question rather than simply prop it. Thank you for all responses.
AnneLine
Or you can try using something like this :saint2: if you are out of props....
