Dominicans In Mosul, Syria

From the Facebook page of the Dominican Friars, Western Province, posted on June 12:

"Please pray for the people of Mosul, especially Christians and Dominicans in the city. International news sources have reported that Islamic militants overran Iraq's second-largest city, Mosul, during the past day. Other reports tell of the murder of men, women and children ... their bodies left laying in their homes and in the streets. The Dominican friars in the area believe their lives are in grave danger ... they may already have been killed.

Pray for all those persecuted peoples of the middle-east, especially the Christians who are particularly the target of violence."

The Western Province Dominicans have not posted an update on the situation since June 12; I think they would post any news they had, good or bad. So I assume the situation still warrants prayer.
