Why Are Alcohol And Cannabis Treated Differently?

I just reread all 6 pages from beginning to end.  I really think what needs to be done is for the Church leadership to revise the verse that I quoted on drug use.  It needs to be expanded upon so that it draws a firm line between casual everyday drugs like caffeine and alcohol, and harder drugs like meth, cocaine, and PCP.  Marijuana use deserves some of its own personal commentary.  What surprises me the most is that there are a few people on here who admitted to using it.  I do agree that there are plenty of users out there who probably keep it a secret from society and you would never know they use it.  I don't use cannabis myself but I brought the issue up because it looks like it will be legal in the entire US by 2020.
