Fidei Defensor
is neat. Lets talk about how neat he is. Look at his neatness in my avatar!
Credo in Deum
I like St. Thomas, especially since I'm on the more portly side. Phat, yo!
Not The Philosopher
Indeed his room was well-organized and his table manners were impeccable.
Fidei Defensor
I like St. Thomas, especially since I'm on the more portly side. Phat, yo! He's my confirmation saint. I prefer to go by my three names, Jared Michael Thomas. I've got the best saints around :D
Credo in Deum
I chose St. Peter as my confirmation saint. I love St. Peter, since he reminds me a lot of myself.
Ice_nine
was not a huge fan of what he had to say about women. I know, I know "product of his era" and all that, but he said women shouldn't drink and that is just UNFORGIVABLE.
Perigrina
I like the Summa Theologica, the way it is organize and how he explains things. I like how it brings the wisdom of Aristotle in service to the Church. St. Thomas had such a brilliant mind that it is exciting just to read him. But I also like how he reveals another, more mystical, side in the Corpus Christi hymns. And I like how he was friends with St. Bonaventure. They approached things so differently but this did not divide them. And I like how he is an example of sexual purity who has inspired people through the centuries. Credo in Deum
I love the story of him chasing a woman out of his room with a fireplace poker! His brothers tried to get him to not pursue his vocation, so they tried putting a beautiful woman in his room to seduce him. Yet my man Thomas was not having any of the business! arfink
I made an engraving of him. I'm kinda a big fan. Like others, I find some of his writings about women to be rather silly, but not even the saints are perfect.

Luigi
was not a huge fan of what he had to say about women. I know, I know "product of his era" and all that, but he said women shouldn't drink and that is just UNFORGIVABLE. Better he should say "women shouldn't drink" than that he should say "women shouldn't think." And if they're not drinking, then their thinking is probably accurate. But, of course, that applies to men as well.
PhuturePriest
was not a huge fan of what he had to say about women. I know, I know "product of his era" and all that, but he said women shouldn't drink and that is just UNFORGIVABLE. But he was right, wasn't he? Women shouldn't drink during pregnancy. Think of all the pregnancies that came to fruition because he told women not to drink. I'm playing Devil's advocate, don't kill me. :P
