Perigrina
If a thurible bearer (or wielder, depending on who it is) is a thurifer, and a cross-bearer is a crucifer, what is a candle/light bearer? acolyte

Perigrina
Well the Latin word for candle is "candela" so you could say candelafer if you want. But it isn't a real word.

Perigrina
I get it. You have been trying to get me to say "lucifer". But that is already a kind of matches .

Every respectable thurifer is a wielder, not a bearer. There's only one way to fill that room up with incense, and that's with some good wrist action. However, my spiritual director put in very minimal incense. All the proper wrist action in the world couldn't spread it anywhere.
