Do We Need More Mods?

Thank you Deus_te_Amat for that lovely compliment.

Don't you just love mutual admiration societies? :)

I find that one thing we do not have enough of in this world is positive affirmation. How do we, in our fallen humanity, know we are loved if we are not told through word or deed?

Furthermore, our perception of God's love is initially a reflection of the love we perceive in the world. No wonder our society has such a misperception of God with how cut-throat our society has become. Mercy trumps, but does not replace, justice, but Love over All.

What BG45 said ... I have pretty much stayed out of most of the board, except Vocation Station (and a couple of Lame Board threads).  I will only go to places other than Vocation Station when we get reports and well, when the rest of the mods are mia.

I honestly am still hurt by what happened the last time when a number of the ex-mods decided to "go after me" in a personal way, ... so if there is a complaint about not modding enough it really is due (on my part) to that thread.

Life is too short, and I have enough on my plate to get "bashed" by people who don't know me in real life.  So -- my choice has been to pretty much mod outside of VS only when I have to.

Those of us who are mods are volunteers ... we do this because we accepted it.  So -- when you think about attacking a mod (or criticizing, etc), just remember, we don't do this for a living, but we actually do this because we want to and we are human (with feelings, and who make mistakes).

In your defense, I meant to make a post (But forgot) about how it's kind of unfair that everyone went crazy about you and others controlling the phorums so much, and now that there's a hands-off approach some are complaining about that. :P

There's no winning on the internet.

Unless you're Winchester. If you're Winchester, you win no matter what you do.

I don't know who you are, but you're quite right. (And another reason why I couldn't/didn't want to be a mod anymore.)

And yet, it's the ones who don't want want to be mods who probably should be -- you were a good one in your day (as I recall). If you really don't know who I am, that's perfectly understandable since I have come and gone a lot over the past 7 years through revolving convent doors and when I was here, I used to spend most of my time on VS.  I escaped from there this past year and finally discovered the fun to be had on rest of Phatmass!! :)

Just consider me to be like that abrasive pebble of sand in an oyster... after prolonged contact with me you will all turn into beautiful pearls! :P

More like prolonged contact and we're all swept up in your wake in seeking Him.

He could show a video of him sacrificing a kitten on an altar of Lucifer and get a Crazy Dope Post for it.

You know you've made it as a Church Scholar when you get hate mail from one of the Mods.

I simply have no response to that one except - how do you report a mod to a mod??

BTW - have you finished your 2nd book yet? I loved your first one.

If you haven't read Curveballs yet, then maybe it might help mature you a little bit?? Haven't you ever heard of a compliment?

I only thought about the second book though CM because I was reading a post in which you said you had already received the advance so you needed to get to work on it. It was possibly a very old thread though because I often read through the old posts. I enjoyed your writing style as well as the content. It should be made into a tele-movie!

I don't pay compliments because I'm a teenager and don't pay for anything.

And perhaps we haven't met. My name is Miles; most anything I do or say is sarcastic, and I have a penchant for shaving my legs.
