Benedictus
As much as I love corporal mortification, Opus Dei is too far-right for me. Politically the members have a spectrum. I've had personal experience with them in the past, which I won't go into on here. They would, in general, be seen as social conservatives by the general public. But on economic issues it's not so straight forward.. But, yes, they take their theology and practices very seriously.
chrysostom
Opus Dei's core mission is the universal call to holiness, especially in the seemingly mundane activities of each day. I love the idea that everything can and ought to be offered to God and done in His service. Don't you think that's very similar - it rhymes, so to speak - to the Benedictine spirit? And to the Little Way? :nun: Edited June 27, 2014 by chrysostom
