Spem in alium
I used to read during Maths class (I hated Maths, but loved Ursula le Guin, so found a suitable compromise). Needless to say, it got me into trouble. :paperbag:

AnneLine
"Oh Lord, I have sinned against you.... let me count the ways!" Uh.. Lord... what does 'count' mean? Is that like, Count Dracula? Carter, one confessor took 'books' away from me for a week as a penance. I could only read what HAD to be read to do my job. I nearly went nuts. But I haven't done that sin again, either.... So... uh.... yeah.
AnneLine
Now that I think about it, he was the same guy who took coffee away for a week. I must be a GREAT sinner! Pray for me!

corban711
I know the competition is over, but since Sept. 9th until now I have read the following: The Way of Trust and Love by Fr. Jacques Philippe *140pgs I Believe in Love by Fr. Jean C.J. d'Elbee *280pgs Fatima in Lucia's Own Words Vol. 1 by Sister Lucia *199pgs Marthe Robin: A Prophetic Vision of the Gospel Message by Bernard Peyrous *368pgs I know these won't count towards the competition and that is fine. I just wanted to share what I've been reading since I had a little free time :)
AnneLine
Actually, Corban, it's your lucky day! Because of the illness and death of my Mother-in-Law and the illness of Tigger60's husband, we extended the contest THROUGH NOVEMBER 22!!! So those will count, and YES, you can still read some more!!!! And good for you for reading & reporting in EVEN IF they wouldn't have counted!
