Credo in Deum
No, the snip is it.........they spray to mark their territory and this arises out of the testosterone produced we-all-know-where.......only cure is to snip 'em off. Stops the urine smelling catty. Is an excellent form of contraception, and is usually harmless. Many owners notice their cats become more cuddly and approachable afterwards too. I still talk to my cat every day, just like I did when he was actually here.

maximillion
Dreamed of my cat last night, but it was a comforting dream and I didn't wake distressed like I have been doing. Have his ashes home now and though there they are sitting on the table, in some ways I'm still grappling with the fact that he is gone...... Today is our first day of rain in ten days ( a world record for round here!) and I am going to go out and get soaked and maybe cry a bit with the rain. Don't know how he was in the rain since he was an indoor cat. He used to sit and look out at it raining and I liked to think he was musing about not being a street cat anymore. It seemed that way when he snuggled on his blanket and appeared a bit smug! His ears were all tatty from his street fighter days but with us he was never less than the very gentleman - in fact he was a big fluffy bundle who wanted nothing more than a bowl of grub and a hand caressing him and he would just fall over at your feet! Credo in Deum
^^^^ The look on BOTH their faces.................... Missing my little one terribly today. I'm sorry for your loss, Maximillion. I know nothing can bring back the love of a cherished faithful companion, but have you thought about rescuing a kitten in memory or in honor of your late cat? My uncle did this and it helped him greatly with his grieving.
maximillion
So upset at the moment, perhaps because I finally lifted his litter - it's been three weeks so it really DID have to go, and put all but one of his blankets in the wash, I'll donate them to the pet shelter tomorrow. His spare food went to some deserving kittites, so slowly his things and his presence is less and less in the house. His place in the bay window with his fluffy pillow is still there, I can't move it. At some point I'll think about what I want to do about maybe rescuing another cat, but at the moment my thoughts are all of him. It's a bit like babies, everyone is convinced theirs is the best yet, and I feel he was so unique, but probably all pet owners feel their pet is special, and I suppose they are! Do you have a cat? What was special or unique about him/her? Mine liked Heinz tomato soup.
maximillion
My cat liked me - this proves beyond any remaining doubt just how unique he was!
maximillion
My cat liked his belly rubbed, and he liked to sleep as close up to me as he could get.
cmaD2006
Mine is highly motivated by food. I swear if I'm not careful she will EAT my dinner. I do share the meat -- as long as the meat is cooked by me and I know what is in it, well with the exception of the occasional bite of a McDonald's chicken nugget (small bite, since I don't know if anything dangerous to the cat is in it). Her favorites -- chicken and beef, she will also eat ground beef.
maximillion
He loved KFC - which I would not give him ( mainly because I never buy it) so he had to scrounge it off my foster son, which he did very politely, sitting at A's feet and looking up appealingly, but never using his voice or trying any snatching. CountrySteve21
So my female cat gave birth to two healthy kittens. But the kittens are scared of grass :hehe2:
maximillion
Scared of grass, can they see it yet?
CountrySteve21
Yeah, there about 4 weeks old, I've tried putting them on grass a couple of times, but they just hate it. Well one atleast faced his fear. Pax
