4588686
Yes they do: This study also considered conversion to or from Islam. Because recent survey data do not indicate that conversion is having any clear impact on the size of Muslim populations, the report assumes that future conversions into Islam will roughly equal conversions away from Islam, either to other faiths or to no particular faith. (See discussion in the Conversion section.) I don't see how the numbers you showed can support the idea that by 2050 a "very large" portion or "majority" of the population of Europe will be muslim. As the study stated, the growth rate of Islam is decreasing, so there's no way that after a growth from 4.5% to 7.1% on a 20 year period, we'll then somehow jump to 40-50% in the next 20 year period. And in any case, it's not methodologically valid to extrapolate current-day trends so far in the future as a large number of unforeseen events can affect these demographic trends. Well, what you need to understand about mortify is that some time, long ago, he heard the word 'scientism' and ever since has felt free to dismiss any numbers or empirical data that would disrupt his jointly fantasy and paranoia infused worldview as 'scientism.' mortify ii
Let me just say this for now, in some nations if rates continue it may very well be true that Muslims will be a majority by 2050, see the commentator link I referenced to above. Furthermore Muslims only need to be the largest group relative to others.

mortify ii
Right. So you're every bit the totalitarian as a young man enamored with Saudi wahabism. You just do it in the name of a different imaginary friend. No, I simply believe a society can protect itself from seditious elements and employ censorship when necessary. Sadly western secularists think pornagraphers, terrorists, and otherwise elements also deserve protection.

littlesister
Closer to home... the Hobby Lobby HHS decision is supposed to be due from the Supreme Court before the end of June. Prayers, please, that USA religious liberty will not be lost officially, although in many smaller but important cases it has been. EWTN was just turned down on a more local level but they are appealing.
