The thing is, my sponsor is my sister. She has no idea what she's doing either :P

It is a bit sad. Not a lot of people know his name was Karol.

Really, all you do is you process towards the Bishop, your sister will state your name, and then you get anointed. Nothing very confusing about it, really.

I had my EF Confirmation 2 years ago. There's not that much to be nervous about or anything. Just remember that you kneel down in front of the bishop, and your sponsor stands behind you with his/her right hand on your right shoulder. The bishop uses the chrism and says the words in Latin, you don't have to say anything (unless you wish to say "amen" when he says it).

Good luck :)

Who's your confirmation saint?

Nihil Obstat

They told you about the Proper Sequence for Confirmands, right? It constitutes part of the essential form of the sacrament in the older form, so if you do not get it right your confirmation will be invalid.

Nihil Obstat

Also the Proper Sequence for Confirmands, being a Sequence, must be chanted according to its proper melody for validity.

You are a big meanie.  I bet that tormenting confirmands is a mortal sin.

True enough.  It is an important principle of moral theology that smilies reduce culpability.
