Why You Should Never Drink Soda Again

I hate regular/diet soda.  I used to drink WAY too much.  Now I love to drink tea but I've also recently discovered Zevia which is sweetened only with stevia and erythritol (no sugar or artificial sweeteners and DEFINITELY no HFCS!).  I love the Ginger Root Beer flavor but I would never drink it as much as I used to drink soda.  For one, it's too expensive, and I know the problems with drinking any type of soda.  However, it is helping my tonsil stones to go down in size if I drink it a few times a week.  The carbonation dissolves them.  :)

BTW, if anyone needs a huge dose of reality about the kind of junk we Americans eat on a regular basis, I recommend you watch Morgan Spurlock's "Super Size Me" or read Eric Schlosser's "Fast Food Nation."  It was my wake up call.  I will NEVER set foot inside a McDonald's (or pretty much any fast food hamburger joint) again - not even for water or a salad.  The amount of chemicals they pump into their food is unreal.  My internist doctor warned me that they even have a chemical smell in the air to make you crave the french fries when you step inside.  :x

Watch "Super Size Me" on Hulu for free (warning, some profanity and sexual talk)

I thought I was going to throw up when I found out what the "chicken" nuggets at McDonald's were made out of.  It tells you in the "Super Size Me" documentary.  You're better off making them at home or buying ones made out of wholesome ingredients.  And to think, I used to eat the nuggets as a kid.  I was none the wiser - until now.

I eat Boca nuggets. Really good but unfortunately full of sodium.

Are you a vegan/vegetarian?  Even if you aren't, I'd recommend Hillary's Eat Well Veggie Bites.  Her veggie burgers are out of this world and REALLY healthy.

I haven't made the full switch, but I have cut out a lot of meat and have started juicing raw fruits and veggies. Thanks for the link! I will have to order some.

Since you have such a good grasp of real science, could you please back up your position with some evidence.  Snide comments are not actually science.

That's actually been disproved.

I don't think I could trust someone who works for McD's to tell me what the nuggets are made of.  There are more news articles pointing that there is junk in the nuggets that we shouldn't be eating.
