Do they crash into each other?

Not always, but they drive faster, have to actually corner instead of just driving in a big loose circle, and the cars look cooler. Sometimes F1 drivers do crash, and it's usually rather spectacular because the corners are so tight.

Formula One?

It's kinda like Nascar, but actually interesting.

I miss Red Bull's period of dominance represented in that picture. :hehe: Mercedes is dominant this season.

Do they crash into each other?

Usually there are one or two crashes per race. Typically not spectacular ones - more like wheels bumping each other leading to punctures, or front wings being damaged. More spectacular crashes perhaps 5 times a season or so. More or less depending on the current era.

I want to see explosions!

There was a pretty serious crash in Canada just a few weeks ago. Nobody was hurt, thank goodness.

At the British Grand Prix, just last week, there was another relatively serious incident. Raikkonen was injured, but it seems not too badly.

The safety regulations are strict enough these days that drivers are rarely hurt. The last racing deaths were Roland Ratzenburger and Ayrton Senna in 1994, on the same race weekend. Very tragic weekend, but safety regulations improved greatly afterwards. There have been a few serious injuries since then, but given the high level and extremely high speeds of the sport such things do happen.

Unfortunately last year a race marshal was killed in Montreal when a forklift backed over him by mistake.

Nobody seriously injured in crashes probably since Felipe Massa was hit in the visor by a suspension spring in 2009. Easily could have killed him- it was like a bullet. But that was an absolutely insane freak accident. Like a hockey player getting hit by debris falling from the ceiling or something. Not much you can do to prepare for it. And he is fine now too. Still a top driver.

There have been a few less serious ones since then. Kimi Raikkonen hurt his spine last year. Few bruises and sprains. But given how fast those cars go, there are remarkably few really serious injuries.

Felipe Massa, 2009 season:

Injury[edit]
On 25 July 2009, in the second round of qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, Massa's head, though protected by his driver's helmet, was struck by a suspension spring that had fallen from Rubens Barrichello's Brawn, on a high-speed part of the track. He subsequently crashed head-on into a tyre barrier. Massa was airlifted to the ÁEK hospital in Budapest, where he underwent surgery in the area surrounding his left eye.[23] His condition was initially described as "life-threatening but stable",[24] but improved rapidly. Massa was discharged from hospital the following week and returned to Brazil.[25] After further tests it was decided Massa needed a titanium plate inserted into his skull to strengthen it for racing. Ferrari consultant and seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher was asked to take over Massa's race seat during his recovery,[26] but his comeback was prevented by neck injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident earlier in the year.[27] Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer was confirmed as Massa's substitute for the European and Belgian Grands Prix.[28] After two races in which Badoer failed to score a single point, on 3 September 2009 Ferrari announced that Massa's place for the rest of the season would instead be taken by Giancarlo Fisichella who had signed a deal to be a Ferrari test driver for 2010 and had driven for Force India throughout the 2009 season.[29]

As part of his return to Formula One Massa undertook a series of neurological examinations, co-ordinated by the FIA's medical delegate, in Paris on 10 October 2009. The successful completion of these tests led to the announcement by Ferrari that Massa would, from 12 October 2009 be driving a 2007 Formula One car in order to continue re-acclimatising to racing.[30] He waved the chequered flag at the 2009 Brazilian Grand Prix.

Bleh. And the second season just started. I will probably watch it, but I am already hearing that it is worse than the first one was.

That reminds me though. Katy and I started watching a show called Black Bullet last week. It just recently finished airing. Full season length I think, so around 24 episodes. Set in post-apocalyptic Tokyo where humanity has recovered in a sense from near extinction due to a sort of virus that causes rapid mutation into monsters. Tokyo is completely self contained and the main character works as an officer whose job is to destroy those monsters whenever they threaten the city. Very dark and violent, but manages to maintain a sort of harem-style bit of humour. Plus it has Yui Horie playing a very tsundere character, which is excellent.

Reminds me a bit of Requiem for the Phantom, and perhaps a bit of Guilty Crown as well. The main characters are also a bit like the characters in Hidan no Aria.

Crunchyroll's app works very well, even if you are only using the free version. I think they have Madoka too.

I have streamed Crunchyroll to an older model Samsung tablet before, and never had issues with streaming quality or buffering.

I find Crunchyroll to have the least buffering or stream time than other sites I have tired. Although right now most of the shows I like I can find on Hulu+ or even Netflix!

I love Crunchyroll if they have the show I want. But more often than not, when Crunchyroll does not have a stream, my next choice is gogoanime.
