arfink
Because I don't need a missal to follow along, and I can understand what is happening without conducting constant mental gymnastics to follow the words of the prayers.
Fidei Defensor
Primarily, Jesus. Secondarily, the language. Not that I don't appreciate latin (I do!) but I feel more united in prayer when it's in the vernacular.
cmaD2006
1) Jesus in the Eucharist 2) English/Spanish/Vernacular. I can't handle a Latin Mass (was at one once, and nope -- my mind went everywhere but on the Mass) 3) music -- the variety of it. From the bad to the great. The fact that at a spanish-language Mass you can have a guitar. 4) I like seeing what the priest is doing at the altar.

Mary+Immaculate<3
Most importantly because Jesus is there (obvs). I feel I can concentrate better during it because I can say the responses and prayers and know what they mean in the moment. It is great to feel more incorporated in the Body of Christ, since the participants are all doing a lot of the responses (whereas in the Latin the priest says most of them for the people). Not to say there aren't problems with the way Jesus is handled at some NO Masses, though. And certainly there are some liturgies that are not what St. John XXIII intended, but I still believe it is a gift to common people to have a vernacular Mass. Even though I've taken Latin for two years in school, I prefer going to an English Mass.
Mary+Immaculate<3
Also, I find it very helpful to know the exact moment when the bread and wine are consecrated. I quite frequently go to the EF with my family and it is harder for me to focus on the consecration since I do not know right when it happens. Credo in Deum
The incense, the Latin, the priest facing the altar, the communion kneelers, etc. Oh that's right my friends, I'm still talking about the Novus Ordo. Feast your eyes and enjoy! http://youtu.be/Ish5zre-SRA St. Joseph, pray for us!
