Nothing whatsoever.

That's a low down dirty shame.

Nothing whatsoever. Fixed: Well Jesus Christ at least, Mass is Mass after all.

That's better! :D

Don't put words in my mouth. I don't appreciate it. I said what I said. If you don't like it, you can respond like a grown-up instead of a diaper-baby. .

It certainly is not. Let's make a deal - you don't put words in my mouth, and I won't put words in your mouth. 'Kay?

If you have 'nothing whatsoever' nice to say about the Mass in the Extraordinary Form say 'nothing whatsoever' at all. You too often give in to the temptation of Satan and insult the Mass in the Extraordinary Form and I have grown tired of seeing these childish insults. When one insults the Mass in any Form or Rite one insults Jesus Christ.

As I recall, there were a couple of posts in this thread that disregarded the question of the OP - "To all the people who go to the Traditional Latin Mass, I'm just curious, what draws you there?"   People who do not attend the TLM posted to say that they were not drawn to it.  I admit that I found that irritating, but I saw my irritation as a temptation to be overcome.

Saying that one is not drawn to one of the forms of the Mass is not an insult to the Mass or to Jesus Christ who is present in it.

Respectfully, I disagree. Luigi has a history of never saying anything nice about the EF, only unneeded insults. With a bit of humor I attempted to remind him that the nothing whatsoever approach was a error. At least Christ should draw us to any Mass, rather than nothing whatsoever.

IMO when you say "nothing at all" it kind of is a smack to the Liturgy and demonstrates you have a biased opinion towards the EF.   To say "nothing at all" is to imply there is absolutely nothing which you find appealing about the Liturgy which I personally find to be an impossibility.  I go to the EF, but still would never say "nothing at all" towards the OF since there are still things I like and appreciate about the OF Liturgy even though I do not feel called towards it.

Whatever Luigi's history, he seemed offended rather than amused by your humour. This is likely to entrench him in his position.

If I were at a Mass that had a lot of liturgical abuses, I would be so upset and distracted, that I would not be drawn to it at all, even by the knowledge of Christ's presence. We have an obligation to attend Mass on Sundays; we do not have an obligation to feel any particular way about doing so.  People have a right not to feel drawn to the EF and to say so (although there is some question as to whether this was an appropriate thread to do so.)

I'd say it was more of a poke at trads than a smack at the Liturgy.  And it worked too.  He got a reaction.  And this is derailing the thread from discussing the Mass.

That's shear craaap-ola! By that logic women should be allowed to walk around naked, and we shouldn't have a problem with it.

Yes, he clearly was offended. For that I apologize, but I'm tired of seeing that mess from him. He made a insulting comment about an entire Form of the Mass, not one for example that has been abused. So we are not going to agree so there's really no point in discussing it further.

Yep. That should be exactly the case.

I doubt you would find nothing problematic with women walking around nude. If I recall correctly you didn't like woman breast feeding in pubic places. That or someone else. Still I doubt that in practice you'd have no problemo.

Thats  because I have been raised in a culture that objectifies women. Not saying its right.

But do any cultures exist where women can walk around nude and not be objectified and/or not be treated as some type of second class citizen? The cultures that come to my mind are tribes, but rarely if at all in these tribes is woman treated with dignity she most surely deserves.

In any event you've done a much more effect job of derailing this thread than me. lol
