truthfinder
I think in some circles (predominately American), Novus Ordo has that extra 'scariness,' for lack of a better word, due to conspiracy theorist with "New world order" and Freemasonry and the like. Novus ordo, imho, is just far easier to say and type than 'ordinary form,' but I'll use them interchangeably depending on who I'm talking to so as to be mutually understandable (I'll also use "English Mass" which is by far the least desirable description, but easily understood by others). PhuturePriest
Dust says it's OK and FP's priest says it's not. It looks like he blew a huge joint before this photo was taken.

I'm surprised that after Catholic homeschooling and monitored internet you would know so much about the habits of muppets.

I have actually never watched an episode of Sesame Street in my life. Is this sad?

chrysostom
I haven't seen the document stating a change in terminology. I have, however, seen a document dealing with a juridical issue which uses several different names for each form of the Latin-rite Mass. SP wasn't about names but about law. :) Pope Francis has even mentioned the "Vetus Ordo" on occasion. I think it's safe to say that there is no "should" with this. I am also perfectly happy to refrain from saying "Novus Ordo" in situations where it might otherwise cause a misunderstanding.

PhuturePriest
I personally like the fact that I have no clue what's being said or going on. Makes it a lot easier on my conscience for not paying any attention whatsoever.
fides' Jack
I like everything about the older form more than the newer form. A lot of things I can explain, and a lot of things I can't. Above all probably the sense of awe and reverence, and as someone else mentioned, attention to detail, that I just don't get anymore. That and the fact that with the older form I generally don't have to worry about averting my eyes (because yes, I'm a sinner) from the woman in front of me wearing a tight miniskirt. PhuturePriest
Or yoga pantaloons which leave nothing to the imagination. Yoga pants are proof that covering skin is not always necessarily modest.
