Yeah, PM goes through phases. This last one has been particularly.... extraordinary. It brought alot out of the woodwork in terms of what I didn't know about many of the posters here. It's too bad it's gotten so debatey though..

I don't suppose this latest phase started when I joined.  It sounds just like me - extraordinary and debatey.  :hehe2:

Hey just be glade it is in general a free place to be " debatey " if ya wana debate SSA with out being hammered on by self proclaimed, righteous,  no open mind to questioning what the Church teaches type of people that are going to lambast you up one side of the thread and down the other till you get either exhausted and give up or resort to name calling and or wait for the thread to finally be locked; seems like this place is just the right size for a decent debate. Other sites are just beyond crowded and only promote one sided thinking.

I do not think that Church teaching is up for debate, especially not on a Catholic phorum.

Then ya might wana tell the Pope that because he is listening to everything and doing some thinking on things,

one doesn't have to follow the faith blindly to be apart of it.  And if such debates are not welcome here then I am sure the admins and moderators would have posted such information and lock all threads accordingly. But hey if it is grinding anyones gears, just got to C.A.F they shut down all such questioning in about a minute flat. only cheerleaders allowed to participate on there.

Pope Francis is a faithful son of the Church.  He is not putting Church teaching up for debate, although the media would like you to think so.

Have you noticed all the people who have phishy by their names?  That is what happens here when people who claim to be Catholic keep on arguing with Church teaching.

you can shove it where the sun doesn't shine if you are trying to put a label on me, cause ya don't know me.   And I could careless about the ranking system here next to anyones screen name nor have I taken notice to it.

There is nothing wrong with questioning ANY Authority  , from politics to religion, those are where the questions and arguments belong at all times. Following blindly does not do anyone any bit of good. The Church and its teachings are a big boy they can take care of themselves and do not need defending or explaining and are more than capable of standing up to and listening to any argument, or question brought to it.

I agree the media is about as broken as it can get, I do not doubt the Popes' faithfulness and he has been doing and bringing plenty of topics up for questioning, I don't need to point any of it out to anyone if people want to ignore it that is on them and I didn't  any of this from the media.

What I don't understand is why people  at least here and on C.A.F take so much bloody offense to anyone rocking the boat. There is a big difference between honest questioning and arguing on a topic, and just flat out bashing the Catholic Church because one has an axe to grind with it. I have no such agenda hence the harshness to the stupidity of an accusation brought on me.
