crusader1234
[quote]kiel i agree with what you said about this movie making some christians uncomfortable. personally i'd rather watch a film that challenges what i believe and how i act as a christian than something that makes faith looks nice and glossy. OwNeD_byGoD
wasnt really gonna come into the discussion...buuuuuuut... we have to understand as catholics that we are the religion most targeted because of our size and our "ritualistic" faith, ritualistic in terms of having set mass, prayers, confirmation, so on, and when we become attacked is when we become strong, if we were to be protected all the time there would be no chance for us to protect ourselves, so either way this movie will serve for us to be able to analyze it in a way which helps us grow stronger, for example seeing different situations and learning from them/challenging them, and whatnot, because in this world not everything is peachy keen, hardly anything is, so if we're gonna get offended and seclude ourselves because of a movie, then we have much to strengthen in ourselves our faith teaches us tolerance let's practice it, that doesnt mean go out and promote saved to your "lost" friends, just means that dont be so judgemental until you see it
crusader1234
good points ownedbygod, but this movie really is more about baptists i believe. still, good points. being challeneged helps you grow - the da vinci code is what got me to be stronger in my faith oddly enough because i went online and read the gospel of mary and i realized it didnt fit, which made me realize there is so much out there to learn abot faith and its all so interesting and exciting.
