CreepyCrawler
it would be okay if it were christians poking fun at christians because you could safely assume there were no malice in it. it's like when i watch movies made by indians that poke fun at some stereotypes. i don't mind those because the people who made the movie and the people who watch them know that the stereotypes aren't true. but if a non-indian person made a movie w/ tons of stereotypes about indians in it, i would be mad. this movie, though i haven't seen it and therefore my opinion doesn't count as much, i am afraid is going to be a 'look-christians-have-sex-and-are-bad-too-so-stop-being-a-hypocrite-by-rejecting-it-since-we-all-do-it-and-let's-all-get-along.' so much finger pionting today isn't done w/ a purpose (to stop bad things from happening) but to promote a bad form of understanding (wow, i know how you feel because i'm a weak human too) that causes us to accept faults instead of overcome them. whew. does that make sense? P3chrmd
See...Mandy Moore Rocks! Lighten up folks....you have to learn to laugh at some things...you can still laugh and love Jesus and the same time! Besides Mandy is Catholic...and said that there is no reason that her religous fans should be upset about this...its a COMEDY! It dosen't make fun of Jesus...but the way people have "Americanized" Jesus!

Ash Wednesday
I might see it out of sheer boredom and a strong desire to get out of the house. I wish I had friends in this town to go to movies with. When you're no longer in college but not married with children, it puts you in a very lonely situation.
crusader1234
Lol Ash, I'm dreading getting to that age where you have to make an effort to meet people. If I go into Foreign Affairs I'll meet lots of interesting people but I'll never know them for more than a week! Anyways, you live in Lubbuck? Did you boycot the Dixie Chicks? hahaha

Ash Wednesday
Personally I'm all over Mandy Moore's 80s feathered hair look she's got going on in the movie. That's pretty sweet.
