Oh. I agree. :) The more I contemplate her life, the more I love her. It has been said somewhere that this Little Flower had roots of steel! I love her for struggling with neurosis such as crying for having cried....I love her for doing her best to bear with the sound of a nun clicking her dentures in choir...for falling asleep during prayer & trusting that God still loved her like a little child...

I'm just beginning to study St. John of the Cross again & am looking forward to finding more of his influences on St. Thérèse.

I'm going to confess that years ago I was drawn to Carmelite spirituality. Then the more I learned, the more afraid I was of the austerity of the life! So I went & studied & contemplated many different Orders....& I could logically say oh, I belong here because of x or I must be this because of y. But, I had a hard time being drawn to more than one or two saints of any given Order. :) Except, Carmel...& I slowly realized that other Orders had their penances & austerities as well. And that attempting to live this life from love & with Grace would suffice if indeed it is in His will....I'm looking forward to see where God will lead me next :)
